The team are pioneer’s of investment banking, asset management, investment advisory, tech start-ups, special situations and trading in equities, credits, equity derivatives, credit derivatives and currency derivatives globally.

The team has concluded investment banking transactions of over than USD 100 billion and co-founded a special situations hedge fund in 2009 after the global financial crisis. They won multiple awards in their careers including Euromoney, IFR and ISR awards.

The team has worked in financial centres such as New York, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh and Mumbai.

The team had a rare privilege to advise Sovereigns (Ministry of Finance), Central Banks, some of the largest financial institutions globally, Sovereign Wealth Funds and some of the largest corporates globally including technology giants from across the world.

For fun, individual team members dabble into agriculture, growing new crops (including endangered species).With a background in finance and technology, we have a deep understanding of the intersection between the two industries. Suketu Sanghvi

Management Team

Suketu is a veteran in finance industry with over 32 years of experience. He is a rank holder Chartered Accountant, rank holder Company Secretary (2nd rank on all India basis) and was ranked first in Computer Systems in Mumbai University upon graduation. He also has a diploma in computer programming.

He started his career in investment banking by managing venture and angel capital investments, executing corporate finance transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, managing ipo’s and rights public issues and then moved on to the banking side doing credit trading, debt underwriting, syndications and derivatives. He executed many innovative and ‘first type’ financial transactions and was part of a team that won multiple Euromoney awards (the most prestigious in the industry), IFR and ISR awards while working in Mumbai, Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai, where he was a part of a team that executed number of transactions from both emerging and developed markets like India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, South Korea, New Zealand, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Fiji Islands, Mauritius, United Kingdom, United States of America etc.

He then become a co-founder, senior managing director and chief investment officer of an investment advisory and asset management company regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority with a hedge fund strategy to invest in special situations/ distressed assets. After liquidation of the fund, he returned back to India in the year 2014 and became a very active investor in global capital markets and ideated, co-founded tech start-ups in India. During his marquee career he has advised sovereigns such as central bank and ministry of finance and advised sovereign wealth funds, some of the biggest corporate and financial institutions globally and worked on multiple financial products in financial markets in all the domains such as Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Structured Markets such as securitisations, project finance, derivatives and Treasury Markets such as credit trading, equity trading and derivative trading.

Mohamad Sotoudeh

Mohammad holds a Masters Degree in Management from Harvard University and a B. Sc. in Engineering and a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts and lives in New York.

Mohammad has more than 30 years of experience at senior levels in global banking and capital markets. Highly accomplished banker with extensive MENA and US track record.

His focus has been sovereign and corporate debt financings and investments, fixed income, credit trading and structured finance across the globe from the U.S. to the Middle Eastern and Asian markets. Prior to co-founding Essdar Capital group Mohammad served in senior roles in the United States and the MENA region in organisations like Citigroup, Daiwa Securities, JP Morgan and Nomura Securities amongst others.

Mohammad has a unique insight in managing complex global transactions for Sovereign and corporate financings and investments involving G7 and Emerging Markets.

Mohammad along with his colleague Suketu Sanghvi and some of the most prominent families from the UAE set up Essdar Capital Group in the year 2007, just after the first phase of global financial crisis started and together they set up one of the most successful investment advisory and asset management platform in the special situations space regulated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority up to the year 2012. Thereafter, Essdar Capital Group decided to concentrate on niche advisory services such as Investment Consultancy, Management Consultancy and Strategy Advisory Services for tech start-ups and committing themselves to innovation and environmental/ social objectives.

Antony Hatter

Antony lives in United Kingdom after living in the Middle East for many decades (Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates). A highly experienced Global Markets Banking professional with an extensive and consistent proven MENA and UK regional track record.

Experienced in establishing and developing coverage models at senior / principal level predominately focusing on; Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central Banks, Financial Institutions, large Regional Corporate clients and family offices.

Competencies include solid product knowledge; Financial Markets, DCM, M&A, Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Banking, Asset Management and Wholesale Banking activities.

Experience includes over 30 years in the capital markets working with highly rated institutions like Standard Chartered Bank, ABN AMRO Bank, Alawwal Bank/ Saudi Hollandi Bank and Credit Lyonnaise.

Heading Global Markets and Origination and Distribution coverage across the MENA region and the UK with an extremely strong network coupled with an entrepreneurial approach to anticipate business and product needs in an ever-changing market environment.

Antony also has significant experience in the real estate property markets of United Kingdom and Middle East. He is a Managing Director at Hive Property & Investments Ltd.

Sunil has been instrumental in turnaround of number of companies and has been one of the co-founders of Finarcadia Holdings Private Limited. Sunil is a finance professional who has worked on large projects including running corporate treasuries, managing finances, business logistics, operations and improving manufacturing efficiencies.

Sunil is currently assisting a large number of companies in the electronics, electrical and information technology verticals to improve their operational excellence from manufacturing to marketing to managing their treasuries.

Sunil worked as the Chief Financial Officer of a listed company, Compuage Infocom Limited, an electronics and information technology product distributor, for over 22 years and turning around the company from a small entity to a INR 42 bln enterprise. With 46 sales offices, 27 warehouses, 69 service centres and a team of over 700+ professionals across the country and region, Sunil led Compuage Infocom to great heights until May 2022.

Sunil started his career with another listed company, Raptakos Bret & Co. which innovates and excels in the field of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations.

Sunil is a Chartered Accountant and a Bachelor in Commerce.

Sunil Mehta

Suvarna is a non-executive director of Finarcadia Holdings Private Limited and Zetheta Algorithms Private Limited. She is a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer of Indusion Consulting. She leads this premier boutique executive search firm that specializes in senior management hiring across various sectors and regions.

With over 17 years of experience in the industry, she has a proven track record of closing C-suite, business, and functional leadership roles for top global and Indian clients. Her core competencies include managing the entire SDLC of executive search projects, from scoping and sourcing to closing and onboarding, as well as leading and mentoring a team of talented consultants.

She has a strong domain expertise in the Banking and Financial Services sector, where she has successfully engaged with and hired for leading banks, NBFCs, asset managers, and other firms.

She worked with Stock Holding Corporation of India for over a decade before co-founding Indusion Consulting.

She is qualified as a Masters in Economics from the Mumbai University.

Suvarna Sahu

Bhavesh has built a solid career in the electro-mechanical machinery industry, showcasing a wealth of experience and expertise. His extensive background includes hands-on work with various machinery components, where he has honed his skills in both electrical and mechanical systems. Bhavesh's ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions has made him a valuable asset to his teams. He has also contributed to numerous projects, demonstrating his commitment to quality and efficiency. With a strong understanding of industry standards and a passion for innovation, Bhavesh continues to stay updated on the latest technological advancements in the field, ensuring he remains at the forefront of the electro-mechanical machinery sector.

Bhavesh started his career in the year 1992 working as a tool room engineer with Escol Electromech Ltd and then worked for PAM Pharmaceuticals and Allied Machineries Pvt Ltd and then started his own project management consultancy business providing complete Turnkey Project Solutions including Design, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning in various fields and he set up complex plant and machineries for large Indian clients such as CPL Electricals, Jindal Group, Bhushan Steels, Bharti Shipyards Ltd.

Bhavesh is involved in philanthropic activities nurturing young talents in India through a NGO (approved by the Government) called "Mumbai Gujarati Sangathan" since the year 2011 which serves students from around 73 Schools in Maharashtra and 28 Adivasi Schools in Dahanu District.

Bhavesh is a qualified engineer in machine tool engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering (with distinction).
